An Insider Revealed The Strange Truth About George And Amal Clooney’s Marriage
George and Amal Clooney may look like the perfect match, but it’s hard for outsiders to ever really know what’s happening inside a relationship. Keeping the spark alive can’t be easy when you’re constantly in the spotlight and away from your partner for months at a time – keeping in mind all the temptation that may entail. No surprise, then, that there’s been plenty of gossip about the state of the Clooneys’ union. And the rumors only came to a head when an insider dropped a bombshell about the couple.
A Hollywood fairy tale
Amal and George’s love certainly seems worth saving. Their story could have come right out of Hollywood itself: a handsome bachelor meets a hotshot legal eagle who just happens to be the woman of his dreams. Then kids follow, and for a while, it looks as though fairytales really can come true. But as the Clooneys know, life isn’t a fairytale or a Hollywood movie.
Reports of trouble
And it’s not quite sweetness and light in the Clooneys’ marriage if you believe an alleged insider. Suggesting trouble in paradise, the source reportedly said to the National Enquirer, “[George and Amal] have this terrible habit of getting on each other’s nerves at the worst possible time, and it always seems to happen right after they’ve worked their way out of a troubled patch.”
Much happier
George, though? He’s always insisted that he’s happily married. In 2015 he told Harper’s Bazaar, “I’m a much happier person [with Amal], and we have a very happy life… I have someone who I can talk to about anything and someone who I care more about than I’ve cared about anybody.” Maybe it’s true; maybe he’s just trying to keep up appearances.
A big honor
Amal’s returned the praise, too. Before her husband was presented with the 2018 AFI Life Achievement Award, she said to the crowd, “Although [George] modestly attributes most of his success to luck, I think it is his incredible talent and character that got him here, and these attributes make him an amazing husband and father.” It sounds like they’re still in love!
